About the Leatherjacket
The leatherjacket species belongs to the family Monacanthidae, commonly found in the Indo-Pacific region, including Australia, and are named for their tough, leather-like skin. Leatherjacket fish have a flattened, oval-shaped body, often with a small, pointed head and a single long dorsal spine that can be raised or lowered. Leatherjacket can vary greatly in colour, with some species displaying vibrant patterns of yellows, blues, and browns, while others may be more subdued in colour.
Design
We call this design 'Ocean with Amber' due to the combination of coastal turquoise and the ascents of amber that pop through the design.
